transitioned this life January 1, 2019 in Plaifield, New Jersey. Born in Columbia, Virginia, she has been a long time resident of Plainfield
She attended Armstrong High School, class of 1941. After graduating high school, she entered the workforce. While working at Ft. Belvoir as a secretary, she met, and later married, 1st Lt. James D. Johnson Sr. on September 21, 1942. From this union, five children were born.
Louise was the president of the VFW woman’s auxiliary post #747. She sold life insurance for many years & met numerous lifelong friends. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling with friends, tending to her garden beds, cooking and hosting family dinners, basement parties, & shopping. Louise could always be found on the front porch of 138 Pineview Terrace, where she was known as the neighborhood watch.
