Life's Reflections
Dwayne Dunn, 53, was born on June 24, 1964 in Jersey City, NJ. Our Lord and Savior called his faithful servant to rest on July 17, 2017, surrounded by his loving family at Kennedy University Hospital in Cherry Hill, NJ.
Dwayne and his family relocated from Jersey City, NJ to Plainfield, NJ, where he was educated in the Plainfield School system. He attended Emerson Elementary School, Maxson Middle School, and was a graduate of Plainfield High School Class of 1982. Dwayne went on to further his education and attended Union County College.
Dwayne accepted Christ and attended St. Johns Baptist Church in Scotch Plains NJ, where he was baptized and was a faithful member, before relocating to Maple Shade, NJ. Dwayne had a high regard for prayer, reading and studying the bible.
After relocating to Maple Shade NJ with his family, Dwayne was employed by Anthem Insurance Company as a mail clerk, as well as other various temp jobs, before becoming too ill to work.
Dwayne would give you the shirt off of his back, was quiet, but was also very competitive. He loved basketball, bowling and was a diehard Dallas Cowboy fan. He also loved all types of music, which led him to sing in the gospel choir in high school. When he was younger, you could also find him in the family basement mastering his DJ skills, to become part of the DJ group from Plainfield called DSU (Dynamic Sounds Unlimited).
Predeceased in death by his father, Hickman Dunn, Dwayne's memories will be forever cherished and remembered by his mother and devoted care giver Anna Dunn, of Maple Shade, NJ; two brothers and two sister-in laws, Derek Dunn Sr. (Kim), of Willingboro, NJ; Dean Dunn (Veronica), of Maple Shade, NJ, one niece and two nephews, Derrick Nixon, NaQuay Nixon, and Derek Dunn Jr, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers and friends
